Increasingly, however, the luxury retail, banking, sports and IT sectors also seek out hospitality graduates, eager to leverage their optimal customer-oriented skills.

Simon was born in Colombia and raised between Europe & the USA. Prior to joining Starwood in 2012, Simon had professional internships at multiple PR and marketing firms, The Ritz-Carlton Penha-Longa and W Barcelona. In 2012 he joined the Global Brand team for W Hotels. In 2013, as part of Starwood’s strategic repositioning Simon joined the newly created Le Méridien & Westin Global Brand teams where he supported the rebranding efforts. Most recently, Simon took a new roll managing the Le Méridien brand in North America.
Michael Mauro graduated in December 2014 from Les Roches and works as Assistant Manager for Zuma Restaurant in Dubai. His progress through the ranks is impressive. He spent an 11-month internship with Zuma in Hong Kong on their management training program and a 2-month additional placement with Zuma Bangkok. After he graduated from Les Roches, he joined Zuma, Dubai, as Restaurant Supervisor and within five months was awarded the Assistant Manager role.
After graduating Les Roches, Ronen built a broad portfolio of experience across different sectors within the industry: F&B, sales and marketing, finance, operations management. Prior to his current role, he was president and CEO of The Plaza Group. Before this, he held many leadership positions at properties around the world, including Senior Executive Vice President of Operations at Marina Bay Sands Singapore and senior management roles with Forte hotels, London, and Euro Disney, Paris, which he helped to open.
